Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:


  • Full Time (40 hours per week)


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Occasional travel within Germany may be required as needed.


Duties

The Administrative Clerk provides daily administration of the Housing Office with respect to all Housing-related matters. The Housing Office is one section within the General Services Office (GSO). The incumbent coordinates Operating Lease work orders in conjunction with Facilities and the Housing Assistants. S/he receives and ensures the proper recording and tracking of all Operating Lease housing maintenance and repair service requests from residents. The incumbent is the primary point of contact (POC) for all Housing matters related to arrivals and departures of officers, while also coordinating between various Embassy sections to ensure that all relevant processes are completed. The incumbent provides accounting and vouchering support, coordinating with landlords, occupants, sponsoring agencies, other GSO sections and the Financial Management Center (FMC) to ensure timely, correct, and proper procurement and payment of products and services to Housing Units. The incumbent is required to operate a U.S. Government-owned vehicle and periodically act as back-up for the Housing Assistants. The position reports directly to the Housing Officer (General Services Officer responsible for Housing Section).


Qualifications and Evaluations Requirements:

Three years prior work experience in an office setting are required.


Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school or local equivalent (US: High School Diploma/GED; Germany/EU: state German school degree) is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: please address both language requirements in your ERA application.


English: Fluency speaking, reading, writing is required - this may be tested.


German: Fluency speaking/reading and wrtiting is required - this may be tested.
