Description

Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, IT NETOPS Lead supporting the United States Africa Command located at Kelly Barracks in Stuttgart Germany.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
This program provides critical Communications and Information Technology Services to support U.S. Africa Command, U.S. European Command, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Southern European Task Force, and associated staff elements and organizations. It provides our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring their computer network is stable, undisrupted, secure and will require some OCONUS travel.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
  • Must have an active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and ability to maintain that clearance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational services provided in support of AFRICOM and its customers.
  • Manage and supervise a team of approximately 30 personnel.
  • Monitor and supervise activities involved in daily support services for all AFRICOM computing assets, including the Network Control Center, Account Services Desk, Desktop Support, VIP support, Mobility, and the Joint Operations Center.
  • Serve as the interface between the customer and CITS leadership, providing input into management activities.
  • Manage task order personnel and assignments, schedules, and projected task completion dates. Prioritize activities based on customer requirements and SLAs.
  • Hire qualified staff members, coordinate operational activities with external and internal teammates or government groups, handle personnel issues as needed, and coordinate with appropriate government representatives.
  • Exercise broad delegated authority to assigned staff and supporting teams in planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing a variety of routine and complex projects.
  • Organize and implement the process of evaluating performance against established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure personnel receive adequate guidance and direction for their daily tasks, and be responsible for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and generating project status reports as required.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly, both in writing and orally, presenting products and ideas in a professional, business-like manner.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts.
  • Interface with both internal and external executive leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 10 or more years’ experience in management of projects/tasks similar in scope and requirements to current program.
  • Thorough understanding of the assessment, preparation, and implementation of environments and change control activities for complex tasks.
  • Ability to work with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes
  • Excellent briefing, writing, and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
  • IAT II certification.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Applicable IT certification (CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, etc.)
  • DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of DoD Enterprise IT policies and procedures.

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
